Baker McKenzie’s AAM Focus Team
Advanced Air Mobility (also known as “AAM”) is changing the way we do business. The AAM framework in the U.S. and throughout the world is rapidly taking shape to integrate drones, eVTOLs etc. into our national airspace systems and allow organizations to exploit endless AAM applications to further their businesses. The AAM Insights blog is a resource for the AAM community providing the latest developments and updates on the changing world of AAM. AAM Insights compiles legal analysis, thought leadership, news and background materials on the development and trajectory of AAM. Contributors include lawyers focusing on aviation regulatory matters and other contributors with complementary practices across the globe.
Baker McKenzie’s AAM practice is the oldest in the U.S., and our Global Aviation and AAM team represents aviation, drone and eVTOL clients all over the world. A wide variety of industries, including construction, agriculture, mineral and mining, nuclear, search & rescue, mapping, real estate, insurance, and news media—to name a few–are using drone applications to further their businesses, often enhancing safety and reducing costs. Among the team’s clients are those developing eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft and supporting infrastructure, entrepreneurs ready to launch self-piloted aerial, corporate clients using drones in everyday business applications, as well as those who are interested in preventing others from using drones over their property. We provide advice and guidance on how to navigate AAM laws, regulations and policies, and how to make the best out of AAM applications.
